The [GEN]erals a Brief History
Gen. Spartan founded [GEN] on Feb 18th 2001. In the hopes of creating
an on-line community that all gamers of all ages and backgrounds could
enjoy. At the time he set up a small site just something that he had
put together in a hurry. He quickly learned how to copy and paste the
web site link from {DoSF} Starfleet, DoSF became [GEN]’s first allies
alas they disbanded years ago. Spartan then began posting the link in
the Game Spy Arcade chat room. To his surprise someone had already sent
him an application to join. Loki1 was his name and he was accepted as
the first recruited member of the clan. After that Loki, now Vain,
recruited Power Trance. Spartan was able to recruit another fine player
named OverKill who recruited two other individuals. Then Spartan and
Power Trance recruited JoG, who brought in two friends of his Oxrod
(The Founder of MOB) and Turtle.
A month past things and things were going very well for [GEN]. The
clan was 7 members strong after only a month of existence. Sadly Vain,
JoG and Oxxod had left [GEN] to join a clan called =GUN=, they were one
of the kings of Elite Force back then. And the other members were
nowhere to be seen. Spartan had been away going through a few surgeries
and was shocked to see no [GEN]s on-line. That night Spartan sent out
an e-mail to the members, if there still were members, that is. He had
decided if nobody replied he would officially disband the clan. Spartan
checked his e-mail later that evening and Power Trance had sent him an
e-mail saying he was still in and would put on his tag again. So
Spartan and Power Trance began to re-build [GEN] once more. With the
help of [SEA]KwanDuw Spartan learned how to recruit.
Spartan recruited HighwayMan aka Chell and a few others. Then one
day Spartan saw one of the best players he had ever seen FiNeLiNe.
Spartan was able to get FiNeLiNe to join. He set up servers for [GEN]
and made our first professional looking web site. Then Spartan
recruited DarKnite and Infantry (Kaden Dark). After that Spartan
recruited GiNoDaHiTmAn through time he became one of the best players
in Elite Force. Spartan also recruited Crippler-EH. Power Trance, Gino
and Spartan started recruiting a lot of new people. During this
recruiting period Spartan recruited up 2 excellent players and people
named Trinity and Falcon along with a few other good players.
A group of [GEN]s consisting of GiNo, Crippler-EH and one or two others
left the clan to start their own.
Trinity managed to recruit members of a clan that had just recently
disbanded. Eliteone, Sprint and a few more former {TFC}, The Fight
Club. They eventually left to start a clan of their own. Meanwhile a
new ranking system was introduced and Trinity and Power Trance (semi
inactive at the time) were made Co-Vice President Generals and Kaden
Dark was made a Staff Officer.
Things went very well for the clan then it hit a spell of
inactivity. Spartan, with the help of Trinity, Kaden Dark and newly
recruited members such as Tom, The Doctor, and Captain Huff Dude
brought [GEN] back up to full speed.
A few months later Trinity left the clan. A true loss to the clan,
she brought a great deal of members and was an amazing player. Most
clans would have been crippled at the loss of a key leader. Tom, who
had taken on a leadership role within the clan, was made Vice-President
General. [GEN] then surged ahead full speed and made huge gains in
membership and playing skill. During this period [GEN] was fortunate
enough to recruit great players and people such as MightyMax and his
wife MK, Mr. Vulcan, Zealot, DragonBlade, and KogaGirl, [GEN] even
adopted a new tag -={GEN}=-.
This surge continued for 1 and a half years. [GEN] had as many as
50 members at one time and certainly has had over a 100 in its life
time. Recently Tom became a Principle of a school and has had to cut
back on the time he spends with the clan and has forced him to resign
as Vice-President General.
Now a new leaf of -={GEN}=-s history is about to begin! One even
better than before. We are now looking beyond Elite Force and we will
continue having fun playing games and making friendships with people
all over the world. Be a part of the history and join [GEN] today.
